What we collect, why, who handles it for us, and how to change your mind. Last updated 10 October 2026.
Who we are
This website, solaroasis.ae, is run by Solar Oasis Energy Equipment Installation LLC. Registered office: Office M-02-300, Commercial Bank of Dubai Building, Al Khabeesi, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For anything about your data, email sun@solaroasis.ae or call +971 50 214 2113.
What we collect
When you send the assessment form: your name, your phone number or email (or both) and emirate, what you are interested in, your monthly bill band and your message. If you add them, a Google Maps link to the property, the roof area, the connected load and the figures from the calculator. We also note the page you sent it from and any campaign tags in the link you arrived by.
When you use the calculator: the bill and system figures you enter go to our server to work out the estimate. They are not stored, and not linked to you, unless you then send the form.
When you message, call or email us: whatever you send us that way.
Analytics, only if you accept: the pages you view, which version of the site you choose (homes or business), and whether you used the calculator or sent the form. Never your name, number or message.
To keep the site safe: your IP address, held briefly in memory to stop spam and repeated sending. It is not stored with your enquiry. Our hosting provider also keeps technical logs of requests.
Why we use it
- To prepare your assessment and proposal, and to reply on WhatsApp, by phone or by email.
- To arrange a site visit when you ask for one.
- With your agreement, to see how the site is used and make it clearer.
- To keep the site and our records safe, and to meet our legal duties.
No newsletters unless you ask. We never sell your details or share them for anyone else's marketing.
Who handles it for us
A few services run parts of the website for us. They handle your details only to provide that service.
| Service | What it does for us |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts the website |
| Supabase | Stores the enquiries sent through the form |
| Resend | Emails each new enquiry to our team |
| Google Analytics | Counts visits and which buttons are used (the calculator, the form, WhatsApp, call and email), only if you accept analytics cookies: until then its script does not load. Its advertising features and Google signals are off. |
If you message us on WhatsApp, or the form hands your details to WhatsApp because it cannot send them itself, WhatsApp's own terms apply to that chat.
Cookies
- so_consent remembers your cookie choice. 1 year.
- so_segment remembers whether you chose the homes or business version. 1 year.
- so_segment_changed notes a switch between versions, so it is counted once. 1 minute.
- so-splash-choice notes your first choice, so it is counted once. It is kept in the browser tab, not a cookie, until you close the tab.
- _ga and ga followed by an ID are Google Analytics cookies, set only if you accept. 2 years.
The first four hold no personal details. Google Analytics sets its cookies only after you press "Accept analytics", and you can change your choice here at any time.
Where your data is kept
Our service providers may store data on servers outside the UAE. Each gets only what its part of the job needs.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry while we are in touch about your project and, if we build a system for you, for as long as we look after it. Ask us at any time and we will delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
Under the UAE's personal data law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you can ask us to:
- show you the details we hold about you,
- correct them,
- delete them,
- stop using them for a purpose, or stop contacting you.
You can also withdraw your agreement to analytics cookies at any time, above. Email sun@solaroasis.ae with your name and the number you used, and we will reply.
