With Dubai net metering, or a larger home battery elsewhere. Depends on usage, roof and battery size.

Your villa's roof is an asset you are not using yet. In the UAE it gets strong sun all year, while the AC below it drives a big household electricity bill. A correctly sized solar system connects the two: the sun runs your home by day, the grid covers the night, and your bill shrinks from the first month.

What your bill looks like after solar

Solar deletes your most expensive electricity first, before it touches the cheap kind. The UAE's residential tariffs are tiered: the more you use, the more each unit costs. In Dubai (DEWA), Sharjah (SEWA) and the four EtihadWE emirates, a home pays 23 fils/kWh for the first 2,000 kWh each month, rising through 28 and 32 fils to 38 fils above 6,000 kWh. In Abu Dhabi (TAQA), expat homes pay 26.8 fils up to 6,000 kWh a month and 30.5 fils above. A large villa running AC through summer lives in the expensive slabs, which is exactly the consumption solar removes first.

  • Savings: up to 90% or more off your electricity bill, with Dubai net metering, or a larger home battery elsewhere. It depends on usage, roof and battery size.
  • Payback: see your own payback in our calculator. It depends on your usage. The assumptions are on the pricing page.

We'll show you the maths on your bill before you spend a dirham: send a recent bill on WhatsApp, then book your free site survey & energy check.

What's included

  1. Free assessment We read your consumption from your bill and check your roof on satellite imagery, then give you honest go or no-go advice. If solar doesn't make sense for your home, we'll tell you.
  2. Engineering & design We size the system to your usage pattern and lay the panels out for your actual roof: its orientation, shading and parapet walls. We use Tier-1 components such as Huawei inverters and Tier-1 panels, and name the exact panel and inverter brands in your proposal.
  3. Designed to your utility's rules DEWA, SEWA, TAQA and EtihadWE each set their own rules, and we design to the one your property is connected to. We allow for a community or developer NOC (a no-objection certificate) where one is required.
  4. Installation by our team Our team installs to your utility's standards, and Solar Oasis quality-checks the work. We schedule the crew around your home.
  5. Handover & monitoring At handover you get app-based production monitoring, a plain-English owner's guide and maintenance options for the decades ahead.

Built for UAE villas specifically

  • Heat-rated components We specify panels and inverters for sustained operation above 45°C, not European catalogue averages. Panels carry a 25–30 year performance warranty.
  • Dust plan included In the UAE, dust costs panels more output than clouds do. Every proposal includes a realistic soiling (dust loss) assumption and a cleaning plan.
  • On-grid done right In Dubai we design villa systems for net metering under Shams Dubai: your meter runs both ways, and excess daytime production offsets your night usage. Outside Dubai, systems are zero-export, with hybrid (battery) and off-grid options. Zero-export means nothing goes to the grid, so the system is sized to what your home uses by day. We design to your emirate's actual rulebook, including battery storage outside Dubai, not a generic template.
  • No roof drama We offer penetration-free mounting options for tiled roofs and engineered ballast for flat roofs, and wind-load calculations are included.
  • Roof sealing & cool roof Roof sealing and cool-roof coating, as an add-on to your solar project. It's also available on its own. On the Ajman villa, 100 m² of roof was sealed alongside its solar.

What villa solar costs

SystemTypical villa
7 kWpTownhouse / small villa, Dubai electricity charge ~AED 300
18 kWp3–4 BR villa, electricity charge ~AED 800
22 kWpLarge villa, electricity charge ~AED 1,000
30 kWpAs much as a typical villa roof holds, electricity charge ~AED 1,400 and up

Sizes are for Dubai, where net metering lets a villa size to its whole consumption; the charge is the electricity part of the bill, not water or fees. The calculator on the pricing page gives an indicative all-in price for your own charge; your survey-based proposal is fixed.

The Solar Oasis difference for homeowners

Most villa owners don't compare solar companies on engineering: they can't, and they shouldn't have to. What you can compare is who owns the outcome. With Solar Oasis you get one brand accountable for the whole journey, with one team that designs to your emirate's utility rules. You get one WhatsApp thread from first question to final inspection, and the same thread still answers three years later when you want your panels cleaned.

Yes. The property owner signs the utility application. Many landlords agree readily since solar adds property value; we can provide a one-page owner briefing that explains the arrangement.

No. The mounting is designed for your roof type and installed the right way for it: ballasted (no-drill) frames on flat roofs, and sealed fixings wherever a fixing goes through.

In Dubai, your home draws from the grid at night as normal, and under net metering the units your system exported during the day offset those night units on your bill. Outside Dubai, systems are zero-export: solar covers what your home uses during the day, and at night you draw from the grid as normal. Add a battery (hybrid) and the stored daytime power carries your evening and night use too.

Yes, and anything else in your home: solar feeds the same circuits as the grid, so lights, appliances, the pool pump and the AC all run on it. AC is what we size for, because it's the biggest and most expensive part of a UAE villa bill.

Send your bill on WhatsApp, and we'll work out your savings estimate.
