Solar Maintenance: Peak Performance, Year After Year

Solar Oasis Maintenance & Care keeps your panels clean and producing. In the UAE, dust rather than clouds is solar's biggest output thief, and it builds up fast.

  • It looks after any system in all seven emirates, including ones other companies installed.
  • Panels are cleaned with water: soft brushes, never a pressure washer.
  • It's for homes and businesses, with a cleaning plan matched to the dust at your site.

A solar system is an asset that lives outdoors in one of the world's harshest climates. The difference between a system that keeps performing year after year and one that fades is not luck: it's maintenance.

How often should solar panels be cleaned in the UAE?

Monthly to quarterly, depending on your location's dust exposure. Near open desert or construction sites, clean monthly; established, irrigated communities can stretch to quarterly. We adjust the schedule after the first two visits. Here is what the UAE does to solar panels:

  • Dust and sand

Both settle every day, and after a shamal (a north-westerly dust storm) a visible film on the glass cuts output. Rain is too rare to clean them.

  • Heat cycling

Days above 45°C and cooler nights wear on connectors, cabling and sealants year after year.

  • Humidity and salt air

Near the coast especially, they test every junction box and frame.

  • The silent failure

Without monitoring, a string fault (a fault in one run of panels) or a drifting inverter shows up first as a bill that has crept back up.

Maintenance plans

  1. Essential

    cleaning

Panels are cleaned with water. We clean on a schedule with soft-brush systems (no detergents, no pressure washers, no scratched glass), at a frequency set by your location's dust profile: from monthly near open desert to quarterly in established, irrigated communities. Every visit includes a visual inspection.

  2. Performance

    cleaning + monitoring + inspection

It includes everything in Essential, plus remote production monitoring against expected output, with alerts when performance drifts; an annual electrical inspection (connectors, cabling, earthing, inverter health and a thermal scan of critical joints); and an annual performance report in plain English.

  3. Total Care

    full operations and maintenance (O&M)

For commercial systems and owners who want hands-off ownership. You get agreed response times, preventive component replacement, inverter warranty management, a vegetation and shading review, and a named contact who knows your system's history. Performance-ratio reports are suitable for ESG documentation.

The annual inspection, in five checks

  1. Electrical integrity: connectors, cables, earthing

  2. Inverter diagnostics

  3. Mounting and structure check

  4. Thermal scan of critical joints

  5. Production-vs-expected analysis

Delivered as a report you can actually read.

We maintain systems we didn't install

If the company that installed your system is no longer looking after it, you're welcome here, from Abu Dhabi and Dubai to Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. We start any system we take over with a health check (full inspection, thermal scan, production benchmark), then a plan to bring it back to rated output and keep it there. Like all our work, it's delivered by our team, with Solar Oasis accountable for quality.

Why professional cleaning beats the garden hose

Panels are cleaned with water. What matters is how: soft brushes and a gentle flow, never a pressure washer, which can crack cells invisibly (microcracks show up as output loss years later). And walking an unfamiliar roof at 7 am is how ankles and tiles get broken. Professional crews use purpose-made tools and safety equipment, clip on at height, and notice the loose connector while they're up there.

Ask what your system needs next.

It depends on your site and the season, and it is worst after sandstorms. Your monitoring app shows the drop; planned cleaning brings the output back.

Yes. Every system we take over starts with a full health check and a production benchmark.

It doesn't change the warranty terms, which come from the manufacturer. Our service records document the care your system has had, and on Total Care plans we handle manufacturer claims for you.

Electrical integrity (connectors, cables, earthing), inverter diagnostics, mounting and structure check, a thermal scan of critical joints, and a comparison of actual output against expected, delivered as a report in plain English.

When were your panels last cleaned? If you had to think about it, it's time.
